How to Know When Scallops Are Cooked
- 1). Thaw frozen scallops in a refrigerator set at or below 38 degrees Fahrenheit prior to cooking them or use fresh scallops.
- 2). Prepare the scallops according to your preferred cooking method.
- 3). Turn the scallops over in the pan or on the grill two minutes into the cooking process so they are cooked evenly throughout.
- 4). Cook the scallops just until they are no longer translucent. Remove the seafood from the oven, pan or grill when they are opaque and have a slightly firm texture.
