Seminar on Model of Giftedness - WOW
This past January I wrote about the 2010 Webinars on Wednesday (WOW) series offered by the National Association for Gifted Children. If you haven't tried one yet, it's not too late! On March 10th at 7 p.m. eastern, you can participate in a webinar with Francoys Gagne, who will discuss his Differentiated Model of Giftedness and Talent. I'm a fan of his model because it sees giftedness as potential that needs to be nurtured rather than as achievement.
In other words, it accepts that some children can be gifted but that their giftedness may not lead automatically to achievement, unlike some other models of giftedness.
You can register for the webinar on the NAGC Web site. Maybe I'll "see" you there!
