Double Coffee Milkshake Recipe

Yeah, you read the title right, a double chocolate coffee milkshake recipe. I know, our mouths are watering already too! It is crazy how good this sounds. The double coffee milkshake recipe is wonderful and is a breeze to make.

This recipe does not require you to buy anything crazy or have to run out and buy a dozen machines, you can use your k cup coffee machine and a blender.

So what ingredients do you need? These are very simple as well, if you are a lover of single cup coffee, then you should already have the vast majority of the ingredients already in your home. What you need to make this masterpiece of a drink is:
  • A toffee or caramel flavored coffee k cup. Either one will do, you just need that caramel-esque flavor since it will blend with the coffee well and make it sweeter.
  • You will need one and a half cups of coffee ice cream. If you do not have coffee flavored ice cream, then use vanilla, which will work too. It might not have as much of a coffee taste as the recipe will make but it will still have a nice coffee flavor and be delicious. So do not fret.
  • You will need a quarter cup of milk; it does not matter if the milk is skim, one percent, two percent, or whole, any of them will do. The creaminess and texture of the milkshake will come from the ice cream, mostly.
  • Some whipped cream is also in order, after all, it is a milkshake; you cannot make a proper milkshake without whipped cream on top. It can come from can or tub, does not matter.
  • Lastly, you will need some chocolate syrup; the syrup is only for decoration or if you want to add a bit of chocolate flavor to the milk shake (especially if you are using non-coffee flavor ice cream). However, this is just extra so do not fret if you do not have this at home.

Now that you have your ingredients, you will want to brew your k cup. Once you have brewed the coffee, place it in the fridge or freezer until it chills.

Once the coffee is chilled, place your ice cream, chilled coffee, and milk in a blender together and blend it until it is thick and smooth. Once that is done, pour it in a tall glass.  If you are planning on adding chocolate syrup to the actual milkshake, this is where you would do it.

Go ahead and top your milkshake with a nice amount of whipped cream and syrup.

Enjoy.
