5 Reasons to Eat Eggs
Most of us grew up with the idea that too many eggs are bad. Unfortunately for many people, that translated into "eggs are bad". We fear the calories and cholesterol that they contain and entirely too many people avoid eggs for the wrong reasons. In reality, this is a great food to include in your diet, whether you are young or old. There are many reasons to start eating eggs again, as they are very good for you.
1. Eggs are nutritious. Not only do they contain a great deal of protein, iron and calcium, but they are packed with vitamins, as well. In fact, you'll get a good dose of Vitamins A, E, B2 and B12.
2. They can be prepared in many different ways. There is a way to serve an egg to just about everyone. If you detest boiled eggs, you might like them poached. And if those methods don't impress you, there's always sunny side up, scrambled or shirred, among a number of others. The point is, if you dislike eggs in one form, you can certainly find other ways to make them that you will probably love.
3. They contain good cholesterol. That's right. Experts now know that there are two different types of cholesterol and eggs have the good kind, which doesn't block arteries. Without getting all scientific on you, good cholesterol doesn't bind up and stick to arteries, it flows right on through, so you don' t need to worry about having a heart attack thanks to those boiled eggs. Watch the fat on the fried ones, though!
