Kosher for Passover Products You"ll Only Find at Whole Foods

For year round shopping, Whole Foods Market tends to carry a great selection of kosher-certified natural and organic products. But the specialty grocer doesn't typically stock many kosher for Passover products.

Still, it can be a great place to buy produce for the holiday, and you will find some exclusive kosher l'Pesach products that you can't find elsewhere. So is it worth adding Whole Foods to your Passover shopping circuit? If you've got a thing for Fair Trade chocolate syrup or natural fruit gummies, the answer is yes.

1. Avvio Organic Grape Juice

It's not particularly easy to find organic grape juice that's kosher, but Whole Foods has it -- and it's kosher for Pesach, too. Made from a blend of Concord, Catawba, and Niagara grapes, Avvio's juice is made without added sulfites, and is certified gluten-free. (OU-P Mevushal; $4.99/22 oz)

2. Nancy's Organic Yogurt

If you've got access to a kosher supermarket, you may have noticed that the selection of kosher for Passover yogurt has improved in the last couple of years.

But in mainstream markets, there's usually little to be had, and regardless of venue, there's never been an organic KFP yogurt -- until now. Nancy's plain, unsweetened yogurt is available in both full-fat and non-fat varieties. Exclusively available at Whole Foods, it's perfect for breakfasts, smoothies, or yogurt sauces. ($4.99/32 oz)

3. Harrison's Sweet Shoppe Bittersweet Chocolate Chips

Ever since Trader Joe's and Whole Foods Market's house brands of dark chocolate chips lost their pareve status due to production changes, it has been incredibly difficult to find affordable, high quality pareve chocolate chips.

Enter Harrison's Sweet Shoppe, which is now offering fair trade certified, 60% cacao, nut-free pareve chocolate chips exclusively at Whole Foods. They're kosher for Passover, but will reportedly be available year round.  (Kof-K Pareve; $4.99/9 oz)

4. Zeta Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Zeta's Israeli extra virgin olive oils are made with olives handpicked from ancient orchards in the Galilee. In addition to a plain oil, there's a lemon-infused and garlic and basil version. The bottles feature an easy-pour spout that makes them convenient for drizzling over salads or finishing dishes. ($6.99)

5. Fox's U-Bet Fair Trade Chocolate Syrup

As if nostalgia for New York-style egg creams isn't enough to make folks seek out a bottle of Fox's U-Bet on Passover, the company is now offering the first ever kosher for Passover, Fair Trade-certified dark chocolate syrup. ($6.49)
