How to Diet Without Hunger!

103 28
Diets sound like such a good idea when we get started on them.
I want to lose a little weight, so all I have to do is cut back on a few calories - no big deal, and the results will be great! But then we start hitting some obstacles - if you could diet without hunger interfering, wouldn't that make things a lot easier? When we start a diet, we are reducing the number of calories that we eat so that they are less than the number that our body needs each day.
Then our body burns fat to make up the difference, and we lose weight.
So some hunger is very natural, but there are a few things you can do to reduce it and certainly to help you control it and avoid falling into temptation!
  1. Recognize that a lot of snacking is simply a habit you have gotten into.
And you are not so much feeling hungry as feeling like you should be eating something at that time, or in that situation.
So change the situation! Do things at a different time of day, or rearrange your environment so that it feels like a new situation.
Now you can program the new rules for your new situation to help you lose weight.
  2. Drink plenty of water.
Sometimes those feelings are misleading - they can be suppressed by eating, but they are actually your body trying to detox.
Water is the natural detox method for your body, so drink plenty of it! About 1 oz for every 2lbs of body weight will really help you diet without hunger ruling the roost.
  3. Make sure you are getting plenty of nutrition.
Some studies suggest that you need almost 4,000 calories of regular food to get the nutrition you need each day - that's not a good weight loss program! So make sure you at least take a good multi-vitamin every day.
When you cut calories, you can often cut nutrition too and your body needs all the nutrition it can get while it burns off that fat.
  4. Get plenty of protein and fiber in your food.
Both of these are much slower to break down than carbs, so they keep your stomach full for longer.
  5. Eat little and often.
Especially breakfast! Missing meals or going too long without food when you are already dieting can leave you really drained and wide open to temptation.
So make sure that you eat something every 3-4 hours through the day.
You can still keep it within your diet without hunger taking over.
Those are a few of the things that you can do to keep on your diet without hunger making things miserable for you! Losing weight does not have to be hard - if you know the secrets of what is really going on with your body, you can lose weight very easily.
