How to Get a Scuff Off of a Soft Leather Bag
- 1). Spread a towel on a table, and place the soft leather bag on top of it with the scuffed side facing upward. Remove all internal items from the purse to allow the bag to lie as flat as possible.
- 2). Hold a soft cloth, such as chamois, under a sink faucet until it is saturated. Wring the cloth out until no more moisture drips out.
- 3). Place the damp cloth on top of the scuff mark on the bag and rub it in circular motions with gentle pressure. Continue rubbing for five to 10 seconds, and then examine the leather to see if the scuff mark is gone.
- 4). Apply one-quarter tsp. of baking soda to the damp cloth if the scuff mark remains on the leather. Place the cloth back on the scuff mark and move it in circular motions, applying very little pressure to avoid damaging the bag.
- 5). Rinse the cloth thoroughly and wipe the entire surface of the leather to remove the baking soda residue.
- 6). Wipe the soft leather bag with a clean, dry towel to remove all traces of moisture, and then buff it using fast circular motions to create a shine.
