How to Construct a Duct Tape Wallet
- 1
Freezer bag
Select the right size bag. The 1-qt. size works well for small personal items, identification and credit cards, pictures and money. The 1-gallon size is perfect for larger items such as passports, maps and reading materials. - 2
Duct tape
Measure and cut strips of tape 2 inches longer than twice the length of the top of your bag. Cut enough strips to overlap each by ¼ inch and cover from the top of the bag to the bottom. - 3
Wallet
Place the top of the first strip of tape along the bottom of the bag's opening seam and against the left side. - 4
Army Ranger
Tape across the front of the bag; flip and tape across the back, keeping the tape along the bottom of the opening seem. Flip bag to front and allow ends of tape to overlap. - 5
Mud bath?
Continue wrapping the bag with the tape, allowing each strip to overlap the previous by ¼ inch. Overlaps ensure more secure waterproofing.
