The reason I choose this homemade Chinese food recipe for my first post is because this is very easy. People searching on the internet hoping to find the most tradition recipe. You will be satisfy by this post, this is the way my parents make this dish, I don't know it is the most tradition way to make it or not, But I know it is supper delicious. All of my American friends keep asking me to cook this for them. So, the flavor of this dish is very accepting by American.

Mapo Tofu is one of the most famous Chinese Szechuan Food in America. It is spicy with a lot of unique flavor , which u can only taste in this traditional Chinese dish. In this post I am going to show the procedure with a many pictures to make you very easy to understand how to cook this meal. Moreover, you need to try how spicy the Doubanjiang is first, so you can know how many you need to add into the dish. This can make sure that you won't make this dish too spicy.

Ingredient:

Tofu (400g), oil, Dou ban jiang, Sichuan pepper, garlic, green onion, soy sauce, sugar, pork.

Procedures:

Step 1: First you need to cut the pork, onion and garlic in to small pieces.

Step 2: Cut the tofu in around 2 cm cube

Step 3: Boil some salt water and put the tofu inside for 40 second, it can remove the weird smell of the tofu.

Step 4: Put 10 gram of Sichuan pepper into the pot over medium heat until the pepper creates an unquie smell.

Step 5: Take out the Sichuan pepper and crush it into powder form.

ps: (this pepper has a unique flavor, I don't recommend that you add too much for the first time.)

Step 6: Heat up your pot and add oil, green onion, garlic and Doubanjiang, fry it until the oil turn red.

Step 7: Put the pork and add 100 gram of water into the pot and fry it!

Step 8: Put the tofu, soy sauce and sugar, fry for 3 min

Last Step: Turn off the stove and put the Sichuan pepper in and mix it completely.
