Sewer Gas Smells in a Master Shower
Bio Slime
- As you wash soap, shampoo, hair, dead skin and other biological materials down the shower's drain, some of these materials stick to the inside of the drain body, forming a slime. This biological slime attracts bacteria that feed off of the material. These bacteria produce a smell that is similar to sewer gas, intensifying whenever water washes down the drain. You can remove the biological slime from the inside of the shower drain body with hot water, dish soap and a large bottle brush.
