- 1). Place a picture or a decorative mirror on the top of the toilet, and lean it against the wall.
- 2). Set a box of tissues on the top of the toilet. Choose a decorative box that features a color or pattern that matches the decor of the bathroom, or place a box of tissues in a tissue box that corresponds to the room decor. Place the tissues to the left or right of the mirror or picture.
- 3). Fill a small, decorative basket, bowl or jar with lotions, cotton balls or cotton swabs, and position it on top of the toilet in a location that works with the mirror or picture and tissues. Alternatively, you can fill the basket, bowl or jar with accessories that relate to your bathroom; for example, shells in a beach-inspired bathroom or dried flower petals for a feminine, country-chic bathroom.
- 4). Include a candle on the top of the toilet tank. A jar candle or pillar candle placed on a decorative candle plate, or a series of tea lights arranged in a horizontal line across the top of the toilet tank, are examples of ways to incorporate candles. Choose scented candles to add a pleasant fragrance to the bathroom.
