Gigi Wax Instructions
- It is important to follow the Gigi Wax instructions carefully to ensure best results, and to avoid mishaps. Before you begin, read the enclosed instructional packet thoroughly.
Remove the cap and round plastic sheet from the Gigi Wax jar, and place the jar on a ceramic or glass dish. Initially, heat it for 30 seconds then remove from the microwave and use a butter knife or spatula to break the surface of the wax. Replace inside the microwave and heat at 15-second breaks until the wax takes on a creamy, spreadable consistency. Do not heat for more than one minute or it will get too hot to use. Let the wax cool off slightly if you heat it too much.
Apply some of the Pre-Epilation Oil (it comes in the wax kit) onto the area to be waxed. Using the applicator (also in the kit), apply a thick layer of the wax onto the desired area, making sure to apply in the direction of hair growth. Wait about 30 seconds for the wax to cool on your skin. Hold the skin around the area tight and quickly pull off the wax in the opposite direction of hair growth. You do not need to use cloth strips; you can pull the wax off directly. Do not reapply wax in the same area.
Use the Wax Off to remove any wax residue. To slow the regrowth of hair after waxing, apply the Slow Grow lotion onto the treated areas. - If you are prone to allergic skin reactions, always do a patch test before using the Gigi Wax. Apply a bit of the wax onto your arm or leg and remove the hair. Wait 24 hours to see if your skin develops a rash or blisters, or if it swells. If nothing happens after the allotted wait time, proceed to use the wax regularly.
Always test the temperature of the wax before applying.
This wax should not be used by people under 18 years of age without parental supervision.
Talk to a dermatologist or doctor before use if you are pregnant, diabetic, or have varicose veins or other skin conditions.
