How to Make a Cardigan Longer
- 1). Get the sweater wet, but not sopping, in lukewarm water.
- 2). Lay the wet sweater flat on a towel.
- 3). Use your hands to gently pull the sweater down, stretching it. You'll get the best results by placing your hands close together, holding the sweater in place with the top hand and pulling down on the sweater with the hand closer to the bottom hem. Approach blocking the sweater a small section at a time until you've stretched the entire sweater to the length you desire.
- 4). Lay the sweater flat on the second dry towel to dry. When the top side of the sweater is dry to the touch, carefully flip it over so the wet side is facing up.
- 5). Let the sweater dry for a full day before wearing.
