So what exactly is Candida or Candidiasis?  Although it's not frequently in the news nor is it in the same conversation as cancer, AIDS, or other infamous conditions, Candida is a medical condition that is rapidly garnering more attention.
Most people are misinformed or unaware that Candida exists because the majority of doctors are uneducated about its impact on our health and well-being.
People suffering from this condition are often left in the dark because doctors have repetitively communicated that they're suffering from hypochondriac or stress disorder or psychiatric issues.
This is not to discredit our doctors and scientists - this is just to point out that there is such an extensive list of symptoms related to Candida overgrowth that its often easy to overlook the issue and simply pass it off as a 'cold' or 'stress'.
So What is Candida? Candida Albicans is yeast that is naturally present in a healthy human body.
Normally it co-exists in harmony with a variety of other microorganisms and also performs a couple important functions.
The problem occurs when something upsets the balance of bacteria in the body and this allows the yeast organism to multiply and take over all of the healthy microorganisms and defense organisms.
All in all, the fungi that leads to Candida or yeast infections is found inside all of us.
These infections typically occur where a moist environment encourages fungal growth.
In some cases, the infections can even burrow holes into the intestinal tract, enter the blood stream and then rare its nasty face into any organ of the body.
Candida or yeast infections emit over 70 different toxins into the body and some people may even become allergic to the yeast itself - this causes the immune system to weaken at a faster rate, enabling more yeast to develop.
Ultimately, it's a vicious cycle that if ignored, can lead to an annoyance of issues.
