How to Use a Treadmill for Beginners
- 1). Familiarize yourself with the speed controls, program options and other controls on the treadmill.
- 2). Press "Quick Start" to begin slowly walking.
- 3). In your own time, increase you speed to where you feel comfortable by pressing the up arrow on the speed control.
- 4). Increase the incline slightly, but make sure you're not straining yourself.
- 5). Walk at your own pace for at least 20 minutes, then press "Pause" to slow the machine down.
- 6). When you've finished your workout, clean the machine off for the next person to use.
