DIY: Facial Treatments
- 1). Rinse the face. Leave it a little damp for best results. Tie hair up so that it is out of the way.
- 2). Boil two liters of water in a pot. Add dried herbs that you like, such as rosemary. Reduce heat to a simmer, and leave covered, for three to four minutes.
- 3). Remove the pot from heat and turn off the stove. Remove the lid.
- 4). Lean over, roughly 12 inches from the pot, covering the pot and head with a towel. Steam for 10 minutes, then wipe face with a cloth.
- 1). Smear honey over the face to create a mask. Leave on for 15 to 30 minutes.
- 2). For dry or sensitive skin, add three teaspoons honey to 3 teaspoons milk. For oily skin, mix two teaspoons honey with three teaspoons oatmeal.
- 3). Rinse honey off with warm water, then switch to cold water to tighten pores.
- 1). Keep skin damp after steaming and honey mask treatment.
- 2). Pour a small dollop of olive oil, no more than one teaspoon, onto the palm of the hand, then rub hands together to spread and warm the oil.
- 3). Pat olive oil onto the face, covering the entire area evenly.
